About CT Ice Fusion

CT Ice Fusion is just that.  We are the fusion of two great Connecticut synchronized skating teams; Team Esprit of Hamden and Starcatchers Synchronized Skating of Shelton. As an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization with its own Board of Directors, CT Ice Fusion is committed to acting in the best interest of our skaters. We are passionate about synchronized skating and seek to share that passion with figure skaters throughout Connecticut. CT Ice Fusion provides a healthy, competitive experience for skaters to grow and learn the value of teamwork and community. Our mission is to challenge kids to improve their skating skills and strengthen their love of skating while creating life-long friendships, and most importantly having fun. We welcome you to join, support or follow us as we continue to mature as an organization and aspire to become Connecticut's leading synchronized skating organization.

Team Esprit

Founded in 1975, Connecticut’s first precision skating team, The Figurettes, was sponsored by the Hamden Figure Skating Association. The Figurettes competed both locally, nationally and internationally. In 1990, The Figurettes became Team Esprit and continued to compete locally and nationally.

Starcatchers Synchronized Skating Team

The Starcatchers Synchronized Skating Team was founded in 2012 by Lauren Magliola and Mark Magliola.  The team formed after a Learn to Skate synchronized skating class and a synchronized skating exhibition sparked a passion for the sport in a group of young skaters.
